SnowFall at Oruaiti School

Breaking news… On Wednesday 9th December Oruaiti school had a fun day. All was fine until skies darkened and 9 tons of snow fell from it onto the bottom field. Students streaming out of classrooms everywhere hurrying to be first into the snow. First to the snow was a girl called Ava, she said in her interview with us that as soon as she touched it she felt like she was in heaven and dove on the snow making a snow angel. Later all the seniors had a snow fight and threw hat fulls of snow at each other, I know this because I interviewed Aliyah, Ariela, Daisy and Isla about it all of whom had done it. They said that the boys were also doing it but they were putting it down their shirts. At the end of the snow fight most people got changed into other dry clothes so they would not be cold on the bus on the way home.

As Easy As One, Two, Three

In reading we read a book called as easy as One, Two, Three and then we had to make a padlet on the book explaining what we read.

Today in cybersmart we were doing summer learning journey practice and we had to re-make paintings.

The bush walk

 The Bush walk

Last week we watched Bush walk. It was made by some people made when they were in Rimu.

In the bush walk some students decide to go on a bush walk. They decide that they need to pack so they pack a compass, some lunch and some water.

When they get on the bush walk they start sliding down slopes on leaves and they get lots of twigs in their hair.

After a while some of them get busting and go find somewhere to go to the toilet.

After they go to the toilet they realise that they are lost and they are hungry. They eat bugs for a while then try and find the others but they cannot and they start walking around.

After a while the other students start to get worried about the people who went to the toilet so they start looking for them but they get lost too but they had a compass so they use it to find each other.
